  • And also the JD 730 no matter gas or diesel the price valve has fell tremendously I know that's hard to believe but where they were worth 13,000 to 15,000 they now down to ,6,000 to 8,000 fully documented or not

  • I just thought that some people might enjoy the picture of the chopper. I didn't need an appraisal for something that is not for sale.
Carlyle Hoffman wrote on Wednesday, June 04, 2014 (PDT):
  • And it needs a GREEN CYL, while it is 1 very nice RESTO. Great job.
JD 2cyl museum wrote on Wednesday, June 04, 2014 (PDT):
  • Well I wouldn't give you 800 for the damn chopper and tractor combined
Tom OConnor wrote on Wednesday, June 04, 2014 (PDT):
  • Gosh, I am sorry that I upset you so much by just posting a picture of a chopper. Obviously you were not at last years Expo Auction in Waterloo, Iowa where a nicely restored 730 had a final bid of 26,000.00

  • I like the picture Tom. I also have a 1960 730D that I wouldn't sell for less than 13,000.00.

  • I have several tractors and a few restored implements. None of them are for sale so I feel like they are like the "Mona Lisa." They are priceless.

  • I don't think that there has ever been a picture on this web-site that has ever brought out comments like this. I am truly puzzled. Don't know if we should be ringing up Jerry Springer or Dr. Phill.

Dieselman wrote on Thursday, June 12, 2014 (PDT):
  • Tom, you have a great group of tractors, thanks again for bringing your collection to gilmores! fellow JD friend in michigan !
Tom OConnor wrote on Thursday, June 12, 2014 (PDT):
  • Dieselman, Thank you and all others for your kind compliments. We will be going to Expo in Waterloo next week and then to Gilmores show the following week. These are two of the best shows in the country and it really takes a great team effort to put on one of these exhibitions. Their has been a lot of people who have gone to a large expense, effort and inconvenience to make these displays possible. I feel that the greatest benefit of joining in or visiting one of these displays are the wonderful people that you meet. They are some of the finest ladies and gentleman that you will ever meet and they have a wealth of knowledge. If anyone reading this has never been to the Gilmore Museum I would like to go on record as saying that it is one of the best kept secrets in the midwest. Look it up and come join us the last weekend in June in Hickory Corners, Michigan.

  • Tom I will be at gilmores with my fresh restore JD 80 I didn't have a chance last year to talk to you but I know Danny Yeck and I appreciated everything you did for the show last year. Hope we can meet up this year. Have fun at expo.
